Privacy Policy

DailyLabel ("the App") is owned and operated by BitTech LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Information We Collect

DailyLabel does not collect any personal information. The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information.

All food log data you enter is stored exclusively on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your private iCloud account. This data is encrypted and is only accessible by you.

iCloud Sync

DailyLabel uses Apple's CloudKit framework to store and sync your data across your own Apple devices. Your data resides in your personal iCloud container and is never accessible to BitTech LLC or any third party. Apple's privacy practices govern the storage of this data — see Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information or food log data with any third parties. We operate no backend servers and maintain no databases containing your information.

Analytics & Tracking

DailyLabel does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not track your activity across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Children's Privacy

DailyLabel is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information. Because DailyLabel does not collect, sell, or share personal information on its own servers, most CCPA obligations do not apply to us in a traditional sense. Specifically:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. All data you enter into DailyLabel is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account — not on BitTech LLC servers.

European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent laws may apply to you. Because DailyLabel does not collect, process, or store your personal data on BitTech LLC servers, we do not act as a "data controller" in the traditional sense for your nutrition data. Your data is processed locally on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, within your own Apple iCloud account under Apple's data processing terms.

The only data that leaves your device is (a) barcode numbers sent to OpenFoodFacts to retrieve product data, and (b) food search text sent to the USDA FoodData Central API to retrieve nutrition data. Neither request includes personal information. These requests are made directly from your device with no involvement from BitTech LLC servers.

If you have questions or requests related to GDPR rights (access, erasure, portability, etc.), please contact us at dailylabel@bittech.dev. Because we hold no personal data on our end, we have no data to provide, modify, or delete — but we are happy to clarify how the App processes data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
